A new web service that lets users rate and comment on the uniformed police officers in their community is scrambling to restore service Tuesday, after hosting company GoDaddy unceremonious pulled-the-plug on the site in the wake of outrage from criticism-leery cops.
Visitors to RateMyCop.com on Tuesday were redirected to a GoDaddy page reading, “Oops!!!”, which urged the site owner to contact GoDaddy to find out why the company pulled the plug.
RateMyCop founder Gino Sesto says he was given no notice of the suspension. When he called GoDaddy, the company told him that he’d been shut down for “suspicious activity.”
When Sesto got a supervisor on the phone, the company changed its story and claimed the site had surpassed its 3 terabyte bandwidth limit, a claim that Sesto says is nonsense. “How can it be overloaded when it only had 80,00 page views today, and 400,000 yesterday?”
Prophecy of Ezra Taft Benson unfolding before our Eyes, yet can you mention such “teachings” of prophets in church? Hardly not. But the day will come when such can be shared in church, and people will be stunned and shocked to know that such prophecies were given to them in plainness. Perhaps it will be as was the case in 3 Nephi at that point and such people in their shock will be told “search the prophets” and see if not all these things have been foretold you. And as they begin to search, pulling out some of those old Ensign’s, they will indeed be shocked and amazed. But oh, that we would have listened and not been crying “all is well,” when we might have been making our spiritual preparations more complete (which includes getting our houses in order in all respects.)

In fact, President Ezra Taft Benson predicted the very thing that this picture is depicting. It is NOW beginning to happen. It is shocking to see how accurate this Prophet of God was as we see it happening now. He warned:
“The pending economic crisis that now faces American is painfully obvious. If even a fraction of potential foreign claims against our gold supply were presented to the Treasury, we would have to renege on our promise. We would be forced to repudiate our own currency on the world market. Foreign investors, who would be left holding the bag with American dollars, would dump them at tremendous discounts in return for more stable currencies, or for gold itself. The American dollar both abroad and at home would suffer the loss of public confidence. If the government can renege on its international monetary promises, what is to prevent it from doing the same on its domestic promises? How really secure would be government guarantees behind Federal Housing Administration loans, Savings and Loan Insurance, government bonds, or even social security?
“Even though American citizens would still be forced by law to honor the same pieces of paper as though they were real money, instinctively they would rush and convert their paper currency into tangible material goods which could be used as barter. As in Germany and other nations that have previously traveled this road, the rush to get rid of dollars and acquire tangibles would rapidly accelerate the visible effects of inflation to where it might cost one hundred dollars or more for a single loaf of bread. Hoarded silver coins would begin to reappear as a separate monetary system which, since they have intrinsic value would remain firm, while printed paper money finally would become worth exactly it’s proper value–the paper it is printed on! Everyone’s savings would be wiped out totally. No one could escape.
“One can only imagine what such conditions would do to the stock market and to industry. Uncertainty over the future would cause the consumer to halt all spending except for the barest necessities. Market for such items as television sets, automobiles, furniture, new homes, and entertainment would dry up almost overnight. With no one buying, firms would have to close down and lay off their employees. Unemployment would further aggravate the buying freeze, and the nation would plunge into a depression that would make the 1930s look like prosperity. At least the dollar was sound in those days. In fact, since it was a firm currency, its value actually went up as related to the amount of goods, which declined through reduced production. Next time around, however, the problems of unemployment and low production will be compounded by a monetary system that will be utterly worthless. All the government controls and so-called guarantees in the world will not be able to prevent it, because every one of them is based on the assumption that the people will continue to honor printing press money. But once the government itself openly refuses to honor it–as it must if foreign demands for gold continue–it is likely that the American people will soon follow suit. An analysis of blow-ups of these video shots, examined frame by frame, has revealed new information that we believe will be highly significant for fraud prevention, particularly in an environment of paper ballots with manual spot checks. Findings originating from these videos will prove to be critically important to any new audit bill legislation, which MUST include rigorous chain of custody controls.
The information in these videos has led us to a “theory of the crime” scenario for New Hampshire. This doesn’t prove there was a crime, but (pending completion of our current testing) will show that the New Hampshire presidential primary could have been stolen, even on a large scale.
New Hampshire is currently the most auditable state in the nation, with 100 percent hand recounts available for any candidate, at reasonable prices, as well as good observation and videotaping rights for chain of custody examinations. THISTRANSPARENCYSHOULDBERETAINED!
However, there were breaks in the chain of custody in New Hampshire, such that there is no reason to believe that the ballots counted in the recount were the same as the ballots cast by the voters.
And as for the many locations that still use paperless DREs or fail to audit chain of custody and procedural safeguards, as they say in New York, “fahgeddaboudit.” There is no reason whatsoever to trust those elections.

Fools continue to chant “support the troops” while yet donning “Bush/Cheney” bumper stickers. Such persons deserve empire, and it’s tremendous costs. As for me, I will seek to continue to “share [my] opinion on the merits of the situation” which is the very first thing Gordon B. Hinckley said we “can and must do,” in his April 2003 talk “War and Peace.” In sharing my opinion, it had better be clearly made that Iraq is a manifestation of the “darker side of empire” with it’s “grim and tragic overlay of brutal conquest, of subjugation, of repression, and an astronomical cost in life and treasure.”
I thought you would find this interesting. I’m doing research for a paper in my Political Inquiry class concerning the effects of American Imperialism and European colonization in the Middle East (as the cause of Islamic retaliation as opposed to terrorist attacks). In the process I came across these videos. A documentary filmmaker in the U.K. made them, and they are posted on google video. You’ve probably seen them, but in case not, here are the links to the 3-part series (each video is an hour).
The purpose of these documentaries is to show the relationship between the neo-conservative right and the Islamic fundamentalists. It gives the history of each, their foundations, and how Islamic fundamentalism is blown out of proportion. These videos are very “Brittish,” but from what I’ve seen are accurate.
