There are many important issues in the upcoming election, but for Californians, the most important one involves Proposition 8. The issue is whether the basic social institution of marriage should be redefined by giving gay marriage equal status with man/woman marriage. The outcome will have significant long term consequences, and deserves your careful consideration.
Because there is so much misinformation and name-calling out there about this all-important issue, I decided to try to make some sense of it for myself. After having read massive amounts of material related to this issue, I have assembled what I have come to believe are the best arguments, best evidence and best conclusions relative to giving gay marriage full acceptance, equal dignity and identical status with man/woman marriage.

(This is funny because anyone in California who has a "Yes on 8" yardsign has almost routinely seen it destroyed or stolen by "tolerant" people who love "diversity of opinion" and "free speech" for everyone. Even many opposing Prop 8 have noted this is a very funny piece. Such people if they would read the above paper might change their stance too, realizing that prop 8 passing will forgo a vast new tyranny upon religion and a very significant destruction of the 1st Amendment.)
